VietHope has developed as a transformative force in Vietnam’s academic landscape, delivering essential

support to underprivileged students since its founding in 2002. By combining economic scholarships with skill-building programs, the group confronts both immediate fiscal barriers and sustained developmental needs.

### Origins and Mission https://viethope.com.vn/

Created in 2002 by Vietnamese diaspora students at Harvard University, VietHope sought to rectify systemic scholastic imbalances in Vietnam. The group’s goal—to enable low-income students through entry to learning—arises from understanding that monetary hardship remains the primary barrier to academic persistence.
